ØRESUND SPACE COLLECTIVE Live In HAMBURG
The Hamburg concerts ... phew ...
I managed it! :-)
The organisation, planning, responsibility, financing ... was in my hands ... this can make you nervous.
I tell you, it cost me a lot of time, power and idealism. But it was worth it!
No, not financially ... I never expected that, but it would have been a nice side effect ;-)
But otherwise it was worth it ... I enjoyed the time so much and I got a lot of positive feedback by the audience and the band! :-))) The Space Rock Party on the boat was awesome!!!
It is important to me, right here at this point, to say thank you so much to my dear friends:
KLAUS: for your active help on the boat & at the Indra ... and on the streets
BIRGIT: for your help on the boat & for selling the CDs etc. at the Indra
ROLF: for your help at the Indra and your musical support on the congas
SCOTT: for your help here and there, for your patience, your trust and your friendship
ØSC: for 2 great concerts and a nice & funny get-together
...
and of course many thanks to the great audience and to the ones who wrote me after the shows ...
and many thanks to Anders (previously from Mandragora Lightshow Society / now Druids Of Gliss) & his team for a cool light show, they came especially from Bremen for this ...
and also thanks to the boat and Indra team ...
Ok, and now a short résumé of the concerts ... well, we will see if it's getting short ;-)

Elb-Party on the launch
- live in concert -
at May 24th 2013, on the Elbe, Hamburg / Germany
... listen to the music here ...
Once there was a boat ... ;-) ....... nope, nonsense ;-)
It's around 16 ... the apartment is cleaned, the vegetables is snipped for the Pakistani dish, so everything is ready for the invasion of the nice Scandinavian Space Rockers ;-) My mobile is ringing and Scott tells me they got lost not far away from here .... ok, no problem, Klaus is leaving to pick them up.
Around 16:30 ...... yes, it's done, THEY ARE HERE :-)
I am too nervous to cook for 8 hungry mouths but Scott is helping out and at about 17:45 we are having dinner. Yum!
At about 19:15 we reach the Landungsbrücken and bring all the stuff into the boat. The band has problems to find a good way to set up because there is only small space and the captain of the boat wants them to set up completely on one side but that's impossible, they have too much stuff ;-)
At the end 4 musicians set up on the left and 2 on the right side ... with a small corridor in the middle ... ha ha, crazy.
We are all in a good mood (well, I'm maybe a bit nervous ;-), the band seems to be relaxed ... it is about 20:45, people are coming on the boat, most of them with a smiling face :-) and everybody is looking forward to the Elb-Party!
People come from Hamburg, Berlin, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein, Niedersachsen, NRW, Rheinland-Pfalz, Rostock, Sachsen, Austria ...
What's the time? I don't know ... but now we are sailing over the Elbe ... ØSC played only a short soundcheck jam and now they are totally in it, they play fantastic!
Wow, what a cool party! ... the weather is ok, no rain, no wind ... when the captain turns the boat it feels like we could fall over and all people hoot with excitement :-)
At about 22:20 we have a little break at the dock. The band and some people leave the boat to stretch one's legs and to chat.
The break is over, we fly again over the water ... it is dark ... you can see the lights of the city and the harbour all around us ... and ... cool ... there is the full moon in the sky.
The boat is packed but a few people are dancing ... happy faces around me ... the cool spacey groovy music takes us away from the everyday life while we are "flying" over the water ... what a crazy feeling ... I wish it would never end ...
Around midnight ... the space boat is landing at the dock ... the party is over, unfortunately, and we have to hurry to leave the boat.
Damn, there was no space for the merchandise and now we have to carry all the records etc. off the boat to the sidewalk. There we stay and some people come to buy T-Shirts & CDs & LPs. But it's a bit uncomfortable ... sorry guys.
I have no idea what time we are at home but it must be late and I am very tired. Everybody goes to sleep fast but I doubt that everybody fall asleep very fast. I for one need a while until I can fall asleep ... too much adrenalin ... phew.
But what a wonderful trip this was ... thank you ØSC, thank you!!! :-)
vielen Dank ... thank you so much ... mange tak ... tack så mycket
Sabine ;-)

Live In Hamburg
- live in concert -
at May 25th 2013, Music Club Indra, Hamburg / Germany
... listen to the music here ...
We all wake up slowly ... having breakfast ..... listen to some music and think about what we want to do today.
It is raining … ugh … but I have some umbrellas and offer the tired guys to have a cozy walk through the forest ;-) The rain is not so bad and we have a very nice walk. I think they like it.
In the afternoon we drive into Hamburg and have dinner in a Pakistani restaurant. The food is well and everybody is relaxed. Thanks to Klaus for the invitation.
At about 18 we arrive at the Indra, earlier than planned but the backdoor is already open. The soundman let us in and while the band set up do I look for a good place for the records...
Around 19:30 the light show crew arrives and they look for the right place to set up all the projectors etc. It is crazy what kind of things they have ... even jelly for the effects! ;-)
Time flies! Suddenly it is 22.
Today we have to compete with the Champions League Final … damn … not many people are here, about 30 – 35 … I feel sorry for the band.
But that's the way it is and the people who are here enjoy the show a lot. The visuals are cool and the new ØSC backdrop looks great.
The music starts slowly and the band needs a bit time to get into it. But it's good.
After about 2 hrs they have a short break and most people run into the beer garden to smoke a cigarette or they come to the stand to buy T-Shirts etc.
Then the second set starts. A few people are dancing, you can feel the good & relaxed atmosphere.
The music is cool, I really enjoy it.
It is half past 1 and the show is over and I have the feeling people would like to hear more music. But we booked the soundman till 1 o'clock and any further "minute" would have cost us more money.
The band is also tired and they have to leave Hamburg around 12 next day. So I think it's ok to stop now, that they can sleep at least 6 hrs before they have to get up again.
The people are leaving slowly, we and the band pack together all our stuff.
... this was the second & last concert of a wonderful Hamburg-concert-weekend ...
I had a fantastic time guys ... hope to have you here in Hamburg again very soon!
vielen lieben Dank ... thank you so much ... mange tak ... tack så mycket ...!!!! I love you too .......
