Doctors of Space is a new duo formed by Dr Space (Øresund Space Collective, Black Moon Circle, Aural Hallucinations) and Dr Martin Weaver (Wicked Lady, Dark).
The duo, synthesizers & guitars, create a unique mixture of space rock and psychedelic music. The tracks are either created across the internet or at Martin’s home
studio, where the group meets once a month to make new music.
This is their first full length release. The duo has already released one 7” and a digital only collection on bandcamp.
'Journey to Encaladus' is a heavy rocker with some incidinary guitar work backed up by space drums. Martin programmed the drums and plays the bass as well on this one.
'FROTH' is a more laid back and spacey track with acoustic guitar. 'Rip Snorter' is something totally different with intense electronics and guitars.
'Into the Oort Cloud' was an amazing space jam that they had.
There are two bonus tracks on the CD, one is more laid back and features their friend Hasse on bass and the other is
another of the band's favourite jams they have had early 2020.

This music was conceived in October 2019 after reading and being inspired by the book 'The Long Trip - A prehistory of Psychedelia' by Paul Devereux.
I set up some synthesizers and my new KORG SQ-1 sequencer and went about making some improvised music. All the music was recorded in two days.
More time was spent on the mixing and mastering of it. 

This electronic music is highly inspired by Doug Walker (Alien Planetscapes), Klaus Schultze, Cluster, Eno, etc… but I do it in my own way.
Just search for a sound, a vibe and create.  I am not nearly as talented as any of the folks I cite but I enjoy making music, my own way, with my own imperfections, and flaws.
It is music meant to raise an ear and emotion, sometimes relaxing and meditative and other times, disturbing, just like a mushroom or psychedelic experience (with or without drugs).

Dr Space has made several synthesizer improvisations in the studio over the past few years. These three tracks are multilayer explorations into sound.
This is the first of a series of albums to be released. The plan is to invite different guitar players that Dr Space has worked with over the years to contribute to each album in the series.
On this one, we have Nicklas from the band Papir and Richard Orlando from Alien Planetscapes.
'5 Dimensions Of The Universe' is made of 5 repeated motifs over which Nicklas recorded different guitar parts and Dr Space used different synthesizers in each of the 5 sections. Later, Richard added some intense guitar and made the mix pretty psychedelic.
'Rising Sun On Mars' starts with some monotron feedback and then drifts into the netherworld.
'In Search Of IO' features a repeated drum track to create the feeling of forward motion. Some very cool guitar on this one.
This is not all like ØSC but more like early Tangerine Dream (not as sophisticated), Sounds of a new Soma, Sulatronics, etc...  Just analog synths and some guitars! Pretty psychedelic and spaced out.... enjoy!

Dr Space is the leader and one of the synth players in the Øresund Space Collective. 3 years ago, he decided to start to let out some of his analog synth experiments and compliment these with some guitar layers.
The first volume was a good success with the first 300 copies selling out. While the first volume was more ambient, the guitars play a more prominent role on Vol II.
Vol II, Dr Space recruited two of his old friends, Daniel Lars and Stefan Krey (Gas Giant, Alkymist, Sumo Sun).
The initial synth and drums (all created in Logic) were laid down and then multiple guitar layers were added. Additional synths were added in some cases.

The 3rd volume of Alien Planet Trips is a collaboration with guitar player Martin Weaver (Wicked Lady, Dark)
and Dr Space (Øresund Space Collective, Black Moon Circle).
They met a year ago and found they had a in common musically and should work together. These tracks were
conceived during the summer of 2018, when it was too hot to do anything outside. 
Dr Space: “It had been many years since I used my Nord Lead 2 so it was time to take it out and see what sounds
it could produce. Many of the tracks the main synth lines were created on the Nord Lead and then additional layers
were added and Martin then laid down some guitars. This album is dedicated to my lovely, patient and understanding wife, Sue.”

Enjoy this 3rd Trip. It is very different from Vol 1 and 2.
